Este domingo 27 de Febrero es la entrega número 83 de los Premios Oscar que entrega la Academia de Ciencias y Artes Cinematográficas de Hollywood y precisamente esas películas premian, las de la industria. Rara vez el Oscar se sale de sus cabales y premia en una que otra categoría a alguna película ultra indie o tercermundista. Aún así los Oscar son muy divertidos para todo cinéfilo ya que se juega a las apuestas y tratar de adivinar quienes serán los premiados, aunque descifrar los ganadores no es muy difícil. Los premios son solo publicidad y los grandes estudios hacen campañas millonarias para ser nominados y luego ser ganadores. Esto no nos importa, para eso están las películas y todos podemos verlas y abanderarnos por nuestras favoritas.
Acá van nuestras predicciones en las principales categorías.
Mejor Película
Desde el año 2010 la categoría mayor paso de 5 nominados a 10 lo que abrió el espectro y variedad de cintas, pero siempre la contienda se cierra a dos o tres posibles ganadores. Este año las “finalistas” son The Social Network y The King´s Speech, si bien la temporada de premios fue liderada por la película sobre el creador de Facebook, El Discurso del Rey poco a poco ha ido ganando terreno y prensa y ya suena como la gran favorita.
Queremos que Gane…The Social Network: Es la mejor en competencia y la película del año. Absoluto reflejo de los tiempos que corren y de lo que nos congrega, las redes sociales.
Sueño imposible…Toy Story 3: Por tercera vez una película animada está nominada en esta categoría y Pixar son los más grandes y merecen tener el mayor premio para los mejores en Hollywood.
Mejor Dirección
El premio parece ya cantado, a pesar de la fuerza de The King’s Speech el favorito y absoluto merecedor es David Fincher.
Queremos que gane y ganará…David Fincher: Además porque ya nos entregó peliculones como Fight Club, Seven, Zodiac y The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Mejor Actriz
La gran favorita es Natalie Portman por su actuación de una bailarina que se pitea con tanta pluma, tutu y punta de pies en Black Swan.
Queremos que gane y ganará… Natalie Portman: Ella logra levantar una película regular a una sobre la media con su gran actuación.
Mejor Actor
El favorito es Colin Firth como el rey tartamudo Jorge VI en The King’s Speech y al parecer no tiene contendor.
Queremos que gane…Jesse Einsenberg: Su gran actuación como el absolutamente geek y soberbio Mark Zuckerberg un rol fundacional y antológico sobre nuestra época. Jesse tambien viene de hacer muy buenas películas como The Squid and the Whale, Adventureland o Zombieland y ya es hora de premiar a los actores jóvenes.
Mejor Actriz de Reparto
Acá la cosa esta más difusa. Según la prensa la favorita es Mellisa Leo por The Fighter, una actriz no muy conocida que ya estuvo nominada por una película ultra indie llamada Frozen River. Las otra favorita al parecer sería la adolescente Hailee Steindfeld de True Grit. Una completa revelación e injustamente relegada a secundaria cuando ella es la absoluta protagonista de la película.
Queremos que gane…Hailee Steinfeld: Porque tiene 14 años y se roba la película como una pequeña adolescente en pleno oeste Norteamericano buscando la venganza por la muerte de su padre. Clint Eastwood estaría orgulloso.
Mejor Actor de Reparto
Otra categoría no muy clara en la que los favoritos son Geoffrey Rush como el terapeuta del rey tartamudo en The King´s Speech y Christian Bale como el “anoréxico” hermano y entrenador de Marky Mark en The Fighter.
Queremos que gane…Christian Bale: Solo porque es Batman en la nueva trilogía de Christopher Nolan y además porque fue Patrick Bateman en ese peliculón llamado American Psycho. Además Geoffrey Rush ya ganó su Oscar por la película Shine.
Mejor Película Animada
Este año son 3 las nominadas, Toy Story 3, El Iusionista una película francesa del director de Las Trillizas de Belleville y How to Train your Dragon la mejor película de animación que nos ha dado Dreamworks desde la primera Shrek.
Queremos que gane y debe ganar… Toy Story 3: Porque es simplemente la mejor película del 2010 y porque tiene todo lo que una gran película debe tener.
Mejor Guion original
Esperamos gane Inception y en Mejor guion adaptado debe ganar The Social Network.
Mejores Efectos Especiales
Debe ganar Inception por ese gran sueño que nos hicieron vivir. Faltó Tron:Legacy nominada.
Mejor Música
Faltó Daft Punk con la mejor banda sonora del año por Tron:Legacy pero entre los nominados y por ser algo más transgresor en cuanto a partituras de cine, queremos que gane… The Social Network con su música creada por el líder de Nine Inch Nails, Trent Reznor.
